Work In Progressposted on 10.22.2006The past few weeks I've felt very overwhelmed. I have like a bagizzilion things going on, and don't have much time for any of them. I have a few web designs I'm doing, plus some images I'm making. Then I have my sites. Then personal stuff, like moving. Blah.
I've been fumbling with this Tosh laptop for the past few days. A friend of my mom messed up her laptop. My mom told me she forgot her password and needed me to get into the comp. Plus this girl "no nothing" about computers, so hers is pretty screwed up, and needs to cleaning. Okay simple enough. I've got into a locked PC many times (a long with locked Macs, and Linux boxes). So I boot the comp; which I must add is a pretty nice laptop, and BOOM ... BIOS Password. Okay. 1, if this girl is as computer illiterate as shes been made out to be, how the hell did she password the BIOS? its not something you can just do on accident. So, I go at it. 3 wrong attempts and you get booted out. So i try. I try BISO backdoors, no luck. I try her password and tons of different combos, no luck. So i do some research. There's a way to reset the BIOS with a keydisk. no A drive. There's also a way with a loopback serial cable, no serial port. So me and 2 buddies break the thing apart to get to the battery. Its soldered on. Plus there's no visible jumpers to jump it. Now my only hope is to get a external A or internal A and hope to god the A is first in boot. Whats really bad is, if I don't get in, I doubt Ill get paid.
Tip ... NEVER forget your BIOS password on a TOSH laptop!!!!

WWWposted on 09.27.2006Al Gore DID NOT create the Internet. The per say internet has been around since like 73, though ideas and documents of it go back to 45.
In 1990, Tim Burners-Lee wrote a program that linked together documents. Which was the birth of the World Wide Web we know today.
Im so tired of hearing Gore created the internet. he didnt. at all. From what Ive read, he didnt even claim to have, the press said he did, and the rumors flew. music :: still life projector - lessonmood :: blah
Busy Beeposted on 09.22.2006Yesterday was a very busy day. FNL finally went live, after what seemed like forever. now if we can just somewhere with the software.
I also finished Ians site. He so excited about having a website, its funny.
On top of that, it was Jess's and my anniversary yesterday. I ordered her flowers. Who knew ordering flowers could be such a pain in the butt? I ordered around noon, assuming they would be there by the time she got off. wrong. luckily her mom works at the same office, so I called the florist and had them send them to her so she could get them for jess. then, I get a call from the florist about an hour after I order them. the lady says is going to be added for a delivery charge. ok thats fine. it would be nice to see that on my final bill but ok. Later on I look at my invoice, there was already a delivery charge. So i call this morning. I was told, the prices change sometimes because of flowers. ok, i guess I can understand that. Im not too much of a business man, but id think putting something like Prices Subject To Change on the website would be something like good customer service. Or when they call, they can actually tell you the right reason they are charging you extra. So i will no longer order from them. they left a bad taste in my mouth, but the lowers are really pretty, and jess likes them. Thast all that really matters. music :: rise against - the first dropmood :: content
